At the MEST48 event, developers will have the opportunity to work with some of the brightest minds in Ghana on software products that can potentially change the world.

According to event organizers, the event is about creating real-world products that solve real-world problems. The kinds of software solutions developed by developers at the event is universal. Ideas can be either built for local or international markets, as well as any industry of the developers’ choice.

To perform creditable, there is an article by the CEO of dropifi on how to hack such developer competitions here.

At the beginning of the event, volunteers will pitch 60-second product ideas which will be voted upon by all participants. The voting process will help to prune down the ideas to the best ones.

Teams

Teams of up to 5 members can be formed to develop the ideas that are selected. After this, teams will start working to build a minimum viable product which should be a working prototype of the main idea as well as prepare a simple business plan for the idea.

Judging

After 48 hours, teams will have the opportunity to pitch their products to a panel of judges. The judges will select the top three products to receive prizes!
